Gregory E. Brinton, born April 18, 1949 in Jewell, IA to Clare D. and Lucille A. [Halvorson] Brinton passed away June 7, 2013 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 64.

Greg was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed taking long trips on his motorcycle and dressing up as Santa Claus during the holidays. Greg was generous and would help anyone in need no matter what it was. He had the great gift of making friends wherever he went and he loved to laugh and just plain old have a good time. He had a big heart for all and he loved sharing time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his significant other Maria De La Cruz; mother Lucille Brinton; children Lori and Jeremy Brinton (Laura Hess); step children Karla Baker and Paul (Susan) Spurgeon; his brother Dennis (Beth) Brinton and his sister Susan (Don) Graves as well as his grandchildren Kenny, Kevin and Kayla Kahney and Cody and Alex Spurgeon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Cheri Pierce and his father Clare Brinton.
