Mark Louis White, August 13, 1950 - July 12, 2007
White, Mark Louis, 56, of Atlanta, GA who was formally of Derby, KS, unfortunately lost his battle with cancer on July 12th, 2007. Mark was a graduate of the Wichita State University with a BFA in Graphic Design. Professionally Mark was an Art Director/Creative Director in advertising for over 25 years. He was also a firefighter for the city of Wichita and a detective for Sedgwick County Sheriff's Reserves.
His father Robert Louis White preceded him in death. Survivors mother, Harriet;; beloved wife, Dagmar; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Corrine, Curt and Kathy; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Jen; grandchildren, Abigail and Porter Louis and a loving and proud extended family.

Mark White's laid back sense of humor and infectious personality made everyone smile and feel good. He was very sociable enjoyed making friends, especially girls when he turned on his charm, he was always fun to be with and there was never a dull moment.
Mark was proud to be a Derby Panther he loved wearing his letter jacket with the metals he earned representing DHS.
One night, during our senior year a classmate tossed an egg from my car at a passing biker who made a u-turn and I made a wrong turn into a dead end street! The biker came to my window asked “who did it” there was no response, he then grabbed my collar pulled back his huge fist when Mark said “I did it” biker responded “no you are on the wrong side” Mark smiled “no really I did it” as he clumsily showed how. I first saw the fist drop and a grin on the bikers face, he gave us a warning and took off.
Marks actions was no surprise he was always that kind of friend and I still have my front teeth!
Mark and I grew up blocks apart, from grade school through high school and later became Wichita Firefighters. I was fortunate to have him as a friend and share part of his life.
