I did not know Annie during high school.... but thanks to the class website somehow we connected via some of our post-high school experiences. We had been in touch ever since. Are pen pals still a thing? Well I guess so. Annie possessed a wicked sense of humor.... to the extent of establishing a relationship with my wife Joanie (who sadly passed away in December of 2017) The two of them tormented me relentlessly, all in good fun, of course. Last time I heard from her she was not doing well, and on New Years Day her husband, Earl, messaged me and others that she had breathed her last breath at 10:15 on New Years Eve. I am still sad. Always sad to lose a good friend. I will think of her every time I hear Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" which she was fond of quoting. Rest easy, Annie, and condolences to Earl, your brother, your daughter, granddaughter, and great-grandkids.

I have to echo these comments,  I didn't know Ann either, however I'm very glad you got to.  In fact, life's circumstances got in the way of me knowing a great many in our class. Even so, every time I read one of these obits it saddens me while I the same time I learn about lives and loves that made up a complete life.  Husbands, wives, hildren, grandchildren - accomplishments, places seen, contributions made.  Carpe Diem, Roosevelt kids, and God bless you all.

I knew Ann well in senior year and on the trip to Europe the summer before. You could say we were inseparable high school sweethearts continuing into second year of college. We always remained friends although with different family directions and locations I only saw her twice after that. I never did meet Earl and his side of thei family but I know they had a long marriage and other family in the Minneapolis area. Ann was a fine person with a fabulous and engaging personality around everyone. She was very active at TRHS and and AOPI any Northwest Missouri state where I got to visit quite a few times. In sum, I will always remember many wonderful times, especially where we first met in Kitzbühel Austria. I know I will always treasure those times. And I am comforted knowing that she will have her long, well deserved rest and peace in Heaven.
