What a sweet guy Mel was! And so cute too! I didn't get to know him until Senior year and the summer after- he was darling. I had a crush on him- along with lots of other girls I am sure.
Mel was one of my best friends! We had study hall together, and he made me laugh everyday. He wanted me to come and watch him swim, but there was something about the speedo that I wouldn't have been able to look at him the same! HAHAHAHA. I was dating my future husband our senior year, and Mel wanted me to dump him and go with him. He walked me on the football field for homecoming attendant and told me if I won he was going to kiss me! I didn't win, my dear friend Debbi Kerr Biegger won, and I never did get that kiss. Even though he is gone, he will always be in my heart. Love you Mel!

Fond memories of the days on the Roosevelt Swim team. Mel was a great guy and a good friend in high school. He left us way too soon.
