Ralph Godsil , Jr., 41, passed on January 30, 2006 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA of colon cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 3, at Hamilton Funeral Home near Highland Memory Garden, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with cremation to follow. Private family visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, followed by public visitation from 12 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Ralph, Jr. was born September 2, 1964 in Des Moines, IA. He was baptized in the Marquisville United Methodist Church and attended Saydel High School.

He loved his family, his dog, fishing, and being outdoors. Ralph had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease.

Ralph Godsil , Jr. is survived by his parents, Ralph and Shirley Godsil , Des Moines, IA; daughter, Shantel Porter (Mark), Des Moines; sisters, Marcy Hintz (Charles), Des Moines; Beverly Evans (Greg Rourke), Norwalk, IA; Susan Wood (Dan), Norwalk, IA; two grandsons, Devin and Dereck Porter; 6 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special friend, Donna Corbin.
