        James P. Dodge, 52, of the 2100 block of 32nd Street died of a liver ailment Thursday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dunn’s Funeral Home, with burial at Jordan Cemetery.

        Mr. Dodge had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a retired salesman with Brach Candy Co. and had served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and enjoyed bowling and playing softball.

        He is survived by his mother, June Dodge Otle of Des Moines; three brothers, Frank and William, both of Des Moines, and Thomas of West Des Moines; and a sister Debbie Shepard of Des Moines.

        His companion was Michelle Holley of Des Moines.

        Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
