CHARLES MICHAEL FUNARO

Charles Michael Funaro, 43, of 200 S.E. Leach St. died of pancreatic cancer Saturday at his home.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Funaro, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was the owner of Funaro Italian Bakery and a member of Vittoria Lodge, Stemma D’Italia and Sons of St. Patrick.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Ann; a son, Chuck Jr.; and two daughters, Clarissa Funaro and Angela Funaro, all of Des Moines; three brothers, Kevin and Greg, both of Des Moines, and Frank Jr. of Mankato, Minn.; a sister, Mary Jo Strable of Des Moines; and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be at 6 p.m.
