Frances Lander, 75, passed away May 15, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Fran was born on March, 14, 1949, to Russell and Mary (Ferraro) Landers and their only child. She attended college and earned her degree in education and spent her life career as an English teacher.
Flowers, hummingbirds and pollinators were Fran's passion. She was outside daily in the summer, visiting her flowers and neighbors. Her neighbors will certainly miss her.
Fran will be buried at Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Avenue, Des Moines, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.

Fran was such a delightful classmate. I always enjoyed chatting with her. The attached picture evokes memories of her. I haven't seen her in years but I remember her as a good student, a fun and friendly person.
