John L'Estrange

                                                                               
Des Moines - John Joseph L'Estrange, 69, passed away on Sunday, November 4th at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 9th at 1:30 pm at St Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road, Des Moines. Visitation will be held at the Merle Hay Funeral Home Chapel, 4400 Merle Hay Rd Des Moines on Thursday from 4 to 6 pm with a Rosary beginning at 6.

John was a graduate of Dowling Catholic High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by a son, Ryan (Kelly) of Florida, a step-daughter; Melissa Wingfield of Des Moines, a step-son, Donald L. Jones of Des Moines, 2 brothers, Jim (Jane) & Tom, and a sister Mary Miller all of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Wingfield.
