Gayle Sanner (Herth)

Gayle M. Herth passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, from complications from surgery.

Gayle was born in Seattle, Wash., on March 1, 1949, the oldest of nine children. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., receiving an AA degree in biology, and pursued a career in cytotechnology. She worked in that field for a few years when she resided in Portland, Ore. Then she moved to Des Moines, Iowa, and became employed by USWest. She eventually was transferred to Glendale, Ariz., and retired from USWest. Gayle married David Herth in 2004. She has lived Hibbing since 2014 and resided at the LEE Center.

Gayle enjoyed cooking, adult coloring, reading, traveling and her Bible studies. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago Cubs, Arizona Diamondbacks and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Gayle always had a kind word to say. She always thought that there was good to be found in everyone. A kinder heart has never been known.

Gayle is survived by her mother, Gerry; brothers: Charlie (Judy), Steve (Nyla), Bob (Susan) and Kelly; sisters: Linda Perpich, Nancy Sanner and Mary Lou (Tom) Allen; several nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father, CW Sanner; husband, Dave; and sister, Helen.
