Frederick T. Klus

Frederick Thomas Klus, 81, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, was blessed to pass away peacefully on July 8th, 2021. He leaves behind his wife, Patricia Klus, whom he married 55 years ago in Detroit, Michigan; his sons: Kevin (Dina) and Keith (Sunshine); his grandchildren: Juliana, Avery, Kailee, Kaicee, and Joel; and his brothers: Reginald and Thomas.

Frederick (Fred) was born on January 19, 1944, in Detroit, MI, to John and Olga Klus. He graduated from Detroit’s Mackenzie High School in 1958. Fred proudly served in the US Army from 1961-1964 in Army Intelligence and Security. Fred retired from Ford Motor after 30 years from their Allen Park Testing Laboratories where he was an Emission Test Technician. Fred was also a very active member of the Westland, MI community where he served on various committees and Boards. He later went on to become an active member of the St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral community.

Fred will be remembered for his wit, love of the Detroit Red Wings, puzzle solving, and most importantly as a proud father and an adoring Grandpa K.

Visitation will be Friday, July 16 from 4-8pm at St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 18405 W Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075 with Saracusta (prayer service) at 7pm. The Funeral Service will take place Saturday, July 17 at 10am at St. George Cathedral.

Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery (Vatra Romaneasca), Grass Lake, Michigan.
