TRAVERSE CITY — Barbara Alvina Ringe, 69, of Traverse City and Redford Twp., passed away on May 29, 2008, at Munson Hospice House.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1938, in Detroit, to the late Harvey and Myrtle (Gohlke) Ringe.

Barbara had a long career of 42 years working for Detroit Business Institute, Detroit College of Business, and Davenport University. She enjoyed exhibiting her handicrafts and dried herbs at the Michigan State Fair for 35 years.

Barbara was a proud and devoted aunt to her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Surviving Barbara is her mother, Myrtle Ringe; her sisters, Peggy A. (Stanley) Hyman and Nancy L. (Matthew) Lucas; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

Memorials may be given in Barbara's memory to Munson Hospice House, 450 Brook Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.

Arrangements were handled by Cremation and Burial Society of Michigan.
