Obituary for Barbara Carole Pawlowski

Barbara Carole Pawlowski, 81, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 under the care of Legacy Assisted Living Center, Jackson.

She was born on March 17, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur and Mildred (Wagner) Sylvester. Barbara married the love of her life, the late, Thomas Pawlowski, while he was stationed in North Carolina in 1959. She will be remembered as a very giving person. When Tom and Barbara first moved to the area, they built their own home on the lake allowing Barbara to take many evening rides on the pontoon. Barbara was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church form many years. She was also a member and participated in the church quilting group. They provided quilts for the military overseas. Barbara was a secretary for many years, lastly with John Hancock Insurance Company. She loved to take cruises, two to Alaska and one to the Caribbean, just to mention a few. Barbara also loved to bake Christmas cookies and distribute them to friends and family. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially the grandchildren. Barbara will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her children, Thomas (Carolyn); Steven (Lynn) and Sandra Clark; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Tom.
