NANCY ANN (MIDDLETON) HUSZTI Obituary

NANCY ANN (MIDDLETON) HUSZTI (Class of 1956)

Nancy resided at West Hickory Haven, Milford, Michigan for the past 10 years. She was the first born child of Elizabeth Louise (Brink) Middleton and John Wesley Middleton (both originally from Rockford, IL) raising their family in northwest Detroit, on 8395 Carlin Ave. She attended Mackenzie High School, was very athletic, playing field hockey, basketball and played first base on a women's championship softball team with her sister Mary, for Littlefield Presbyterian Church (Dearborn) while in high school. Their father, John Middleton was their coach. Nancy attended Henry Ford Community College for two years and received her teaching degree from Eastern Michigan University. Nancy married Les Huszti, (of Hungary), on June 2, 1962. They had three boys, Thomas Huszti, Dr. William (Bill) Huszti and Michael Huszti. She was a teacher and then full time homemaker when she started her family, which was of the utmost importance to her. She was an excellent cook and became famous for her Hungarian dishes which she learned from cookbooks supplied to her from her spouse's Aunt Helen. She loved Halloween and put on many parties for her children with lots of homemade decorations. She was very creative and could draw and paint beautifully. June and Mary were so lucky to have a big sister who looked out for them and always had their backs when trouble arose. She could punch us but nobody else could. She read to us, played with us and got our creative juices flowing. We played Tarzan, dressed up with bathrobes or anything else we could find. We used our imagination. She is survived by her three sons, ex-husband, 11 grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Elizabeth von Glahn (Dr. Noel von Glahn), June Louise Robbs (Melvin Douglas Robbs). Her nieces/nephews, John Earl McCarthy, Jill Louise (McCarthy)Mitchell,Jodi Elizabeth (Robbs) Allhands, and cousins: the McLeod Families living in Madison, WI, Dr. Richard B. Middleton of Vermont, Mary McLeod of Texas and Paul David Porter family living in Bloomington, MN area. Her best friend from childhood to adulthood, Teaney (Kathleen Belanger)Castle, Oxford, MI, who faithfully made the long drive to visit her regularly and was her Maid of Honor. Friends, Joann Vincent, Marcie Sieferd and Kima Amond. We will miss you Nancy, but now you are out of your 27+ years of pain and suffering. How you endured it we don't know. Your sisters will miss their visits with you and the long phone calls. Nancy was cremated and no funeral service is planned. Rest In Peace.
