Betty Jean Nagy, age 81, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on January 3, 2022.

She was born on November 17, 1940, to Eugene and Josephine Gabe in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from Mackenzie High School, she would reconnect with her future husband Paul at a Lawrence Tech University social event. After three years of dating, the pair were married on July 1, 1966, sharing 55 years together. Betty was best known for the love she had for her family. She always talked about her children & grandchildren who were the highlight of her life. Betty's wonderful sense of humor made her the life of the party. So many laughs & great memories for everybody that knew her. Betty is survived by her loving husband Paul; three children, Chris, Jim (wife Sarah), and Paul (P.J.); 4 grandchildren, Connor, Taylor, Devan and Tripp. 

A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 28th at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon St, Birmingham, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial tributes be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
