June 10, 1943 ~ December 13, 2024 (age 81)
Her Legacy…
June Grace Hayter, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. She was born on June 10, 1943 in Detroit, MI to John and Christine (Durik) McArthur. Growing up, June was a fun-loving, adventurous tomboy who jumped off garage roofs and was always first pick on the neighborhood baseball team. She married the love of her life, George Hayter Jr., on February 11th, 1967 in Farmington Hills, MI. June liked horses, gardening, bowling, socializing, and watching old Westerns. Most of all, June loved spending time with her family, especially while babysitting her grandchildren and her grand puppy. She will be remembered for being loving, generous, goofy, an April Fools joker, and for her brave perseverance through many challenging and painful health conditions. June will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

June leaves behind her daughter, Sue Fischer (Steve Fischer) of Gurnee, Illinois; son, Greg Hayter of Lansing, Michigan; sister, Janet Feery Thomasian (Jack Thomasian); grandchildren, Mandy Hopp (Kyle Hopp), Adam Fischer, Haley Fischer; great grandchild, Noah Hopp; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Hayter, Jr; parents, John McArthur and Christine (Durik) McArthur; brother, John McArthur; brother-in-law, Joe Feery; and stepsons, Randy Hayter and George Hayter III.

In every way June was very talented ... Scholastically, sports (she could hit a ball over the fence outdoing all the neighborhood boys who needed us to be able to play baseball). June played a clarinet in the school band and afterwards travelled with the First Marine Band of Howell, MI playing her clarinet with her daughter playing a flute and her son a trumpet. June loved her family dearly, her pets, sewing, reading, gardening, swimming, etc. there wasn't anything (except maybe shopping) she didn't like to try or do.
