• Jeanne DeVriendt, 68, of Harbor Beach passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Harbor Beach Community Hospital.

She was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Detroit to the late Leo and Eleanor (Stroakowski) Pyrek. She and James were united in marriage on June 9, 1979, in Detroit. 

Jeanne enjoyed baking, shopping, crocheting, working with flowers in her backyard and her dog Dee Jay. 

She is survived by her husband, James of Harbor Beach; brother Rudy (Gloria) Peyrk of Warren; stepchildren, Michelle of Canada, Darlene Trapp of Texas, Renee Wall of Gaylord, James DeVriendt of Florida, Simone DeVriendt of Grayling and Nichole DeVriendt of Arkansas.

Funeral services for Jeanne will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach, with Rev. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and until the time of service on Friday at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
