Beverly Jane Carouvich (Janie) lived down the street from me on Meyers Rd. & we were best friends during our years at Parker. We played together all the time, biked, roller skated, hide-&-seek, etc. We both had younger brothers, hers was Tom & mine was Lyle. I remember lots of giggling together & playing games.
We weren't quite so close in high school, but when I graduated from Wayne State University with a teaching degree, she did my hair as she was a cosmetologist then. A few years ago, I searched online for her; but after finding her brother Tom in suburban Detroit, I was in email contact with her niece, who sent me some photos & told me that Janie had died of breast cancer some years ago. I posted some of those photos & some of my own on the Parker website. She had become a nurse & had lived in Livonia with her family. I'm sorry I'd lost touch with her, as we had lots of fun together as children.
