He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel McKay and Joan McKay (Rothwell); his sister Judith McKay; and his step-mother Eunice Mckay. He is survived by his brother Donald McKay (Sharon); his nieces, Lorrie, Robin, Kelly and Amy; his nephew Michael; and his caregivers, Edward and Stephanie Gratowski.

Born in Detroit, Gordon was the son of Daniel and Joan (Rothwell) McKay. A 1959 graduate of Detroit Redford High School, Gordon faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964. He worked as a Computer Programmer and then for Warner Enterprises as a Specialist Carrier Driver. Gordon enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Gordon leaves to cherish his memory a brother Donald (Sharon) McKay nieces: Lorrie, Robin, Kelly and Amy; a nephew Michael and his special friends and caretakers Edward and Stephanie Gratowski. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Judith McKay and his step-mother Eunice Mckay.
