Pete and I began kindergarten together at Burbank and remained classmates for the the next 12 years. He was a fantastic friend over the years. Pete was an All-Star catcher on every baseball team he played on. He was a phys. ed teacher in Warren Consolidated schools for over 35 years. He coached baseball at Warren Cousino and was elected to the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1999. We renewed our friendship in 2000 , I was coaching Romeo's freshman football team and Pete was coaching Cousino's team. It was during this time Pete told me he had cancer ( I was also diagnosed with cancer at that time). We kept in contact after that. In 2004 we had a Burbank reunion with our January class , Jim Kline was also there. I can still see Pete sitting in the corner telling stories and laughing in his deep voice. A few years after our 40th and I think within a peroid of 12-14 months we lost Pete, Jim & Bill. THREE GREAT GUYS.....RIP
