Donna Henry, 47, beloved mother, wife and friend, was released from this world and returned to the light of spirit on the afternoon of November 14, 2012.

Her story began on September 14, 1965 in Yuma, Arizona, and continued in Devine, Texas, where she enjoyed life with her family consisting of her parents, James and Flora Smith, and her three brothers, Jimmy, Noel and Marty. After her mother's death, Donna was blessed to have Diana Smith enter her life as a mother. In Donna's high school years, her life was forever changed when she met the love of her life, Curt Henry. Their love grew so strong over time, and was soon embodied in the creation of two children, Stephanie and Eric. Her life is one that is celebrated for joy, love and the laughter that she brought to so many. Her beautiful story continues on through her husband, two children, and her grandson, Landen Harper Verdell, whom she was gifted with in 2010.

Although her struggles were long and arduous; the strength and courage she emanated would bring hope and light to the darkest times, and warmth to the cold that can sometimes exist in this world. There, in her kind heart lived the nurturing spirit of a mother that loved and cared for all of her many children and animals unconditionally. Her presence in this life will be dearly missed, and her story will be remembered forever.
