Robert "Kirk" Burse, 34, died Oct. 25. He was born May 12, 1969, in DeWitt to Walter Burse, Sr., and Bessie Lee Burse. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Walter Burse, Jr., and Robert Lee Burse and three sisters, Gloria Burse, Christine Burse and Shirley Burse.
Survivors include his wife, Me-linda Burse of Austin, TX; his mother, Bessie Burse of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Faith Burse and Aleeya Burse and one son, Daelan Burse, all of Austin, TX; three brothers, Dexter (Merdis) Burse of Little Rock, Ricky (Debra) Burse of Oakland, CA, and John Burse of DeWitt; seven sisters, Doris Burse of Dallas, TX, Freddie Mae Burse, Bernadine Burse and Sandra Kay Burse of Oakland, CA, Tina Burse and Maxine (Daryl) Smith of Little Rock and Kristey Burse of DeWitt; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of DeWitt with interment in Morning Glory Cemetery in DeWitt by McKinzie Funeral Home of DeWitt.
