Phillip DeWayne " Phil" Simpson was born May 14, 1970, in Stuttgart, AR. He departed this life Saturday, May 27, 1995, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR at the age of 25 years.
He was the farm manager for Hardly Farms and owner of Simpson Planting Company and was a member of the Enon Baptist Church where he served as Discipleship Training Director.
He was a 1995 U.A.M graduate with a B.S. degree in Agriculture and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was County Chairman of the Drew County Young Farmers Assn and was the SEARK representative for the Arkansas Young Farmers Assn.
Surviors include his wife, Lina Annette Simpson of Monticello; his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Simpson of Brewer Bottoms; his brother, Jimmy Darin Simpson of Bayou Meto; his sister, Vicki Renee James of Bayou Meto; and his grandparents, Gaynell Callahan of Brewer Bottoms, Ruby Duncan of Stuttgart and John Duncan of Roe.
