I remember in 9th grade English class, Ken brought a lighter to class and proceeded to burn his desk during class! He also managed to get his hands on some almonds (I think they were almonds) and burned those, too! He was always thinking up things to do. I don't think his mind ever stopped! He was a great guy and friend. Hard to believe that he passed in 1986, 22 years ago.

I remember Ken because we rode the same bus to school everyday. He was the funniest dude and was always up to something. The guy never stopped!! I remember being completely crushed when i learned about his death. He was a dear friend and will always be remembered...

Ken was a dear friend. He played flute in band. Today, people might think that "strange" - but, I think he just simply wanted to be around all the girls. :-)

Ken's death was one of the first that we all experienced as a class. It was very tragic and shocking to all of us. One thing about Ken Williams that you could always count on was he'd have you laughing in some form or fashion with a sprinkle of naughtiness for good fashion.

Thank you, Ken - you showed us how to live and how to move forward.

Ken and I were blessed being in the same homeroom due to our last names and we always got stuck with the same sitting arrangement him right behind me.  Of course our 9th grade year will always be my best year to remember.  Every morning he was like this human jukebox he would never stop occasionally skipping but never stopped with that toothpick in his mouth.  I know yall probably remember this but he won the candy bar sale that year.  His poor lips were so chapped from standing outside of Krogers selling those candy bars.  He was determined to win so he would get the prize money to go to the White Snake concert.  But one of my most favorite memories of Ken and I would be in the library,  I had gotten up from the table and as I set back down he pulled my seat away and I hit the floor.  Then he got up and came back and as he went to sit down I pulled his chair out from him and he hit the floor.  We had everyone in stitches.  Next thing I knew I was on the floor again he had spilled me out of my chair on top of him(awkward) so we ended spending the rest of the class on the floor, since we did not know how to sit in our chairs right per Mrs. Minor.  There is not a year goes by that I don't think of Ken because as I said previously he was a human jukebox and that year before we went out for Christmas break (the last time most of us would ever see Ken) would come in and get right in my ear and sing "I Will Have A Blue Christmas Without You" by Elvis little did he know....
