DONALD 'DON' W. REGLIN

Grand  Detour - 

Donald "Don" Wayne Reglin, 82, of Grand Detour, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He worked for Northwestern Steel and Wire for 37 years prior to his retirement. Don was born on March 9, 1938 in Dixon, the son of Otto and Nadine  (Kerley) Reglin. He served in the U. S. Army from 1961-1962. Don was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nachusa until it closed in 2018. he was a member of Vintage Thunderbird Club International, The Hub Club Cruisers in Rochelle, Slick 60's Truck Club and the Dixon  Elks Lodge #779. He enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars and trucks; part of his collection includes a 1964 Thunderbird, 1964 Ford pickup and 1964 Econoline. Don would travel far and wide to attend and compete in car shows. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved spending afternoons watching the Buffalo at the Nachusa Grasslands.  Don is survived by three children; daughters Kim (Jack) Skrogstad of Dixon, Becky (Anthony) Romano of Sterling, Leslie (Daniel) Mann of Dixon; six grandchildren, Angela Baker, Dustin Baker, Jackie Skrogstad, Trevor Ashlin, Audrey Mann, Owen Mann; there great-grandchildren Braden Furman, Frederick Baker, Aaliiyah Ashlin, four siblings, Sandra (Dallas) Yocum of Polo, Linda Billings of Dixon, Vickie (Larry) Anderson of York, PA, Darrell (Robbin) Reglin IA; special friend Jeanne Plumb; and many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly (Jim)  King; and brother-in-law Donald Billings.
