Donald Warkins died April 9, 2025.  Don was born August 29, 1938, in Sublette, Illinois and dedicated his life to education, family and his community.  Donald is survived by his wife, 2 children, 6 grand children and 1 great grandson.  

Donald earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University, a Masters in Education Administration from Southern Illinois University, and a Ph. D.in Education Administration F\from Nova Southeastern University.  At 27 he took his first principal position at Westview Schools in Danville, Illinois, then was principal at Illini Junior High School and Jersey Community High School.  He was Superintendent of Fairfield Community High School before retiring in 1999.  Don served on the Illinois Association of School Administrators; the Board of Directors of the National Assoc. of School Administrators, the Fairfield Community Hospital Board of Directors and the Wabash Ohio Valley Special Education District Board of Directors.  Don was a member and volunteer at both Holy Ghost Church in Jerseyville and St. Edwards Church in Fairfield.
