Janet Marie Hassler. Born - March 17, 1938 - died May 9, 2021

Janet  Marie Hassler, 83, of Dixon, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at home surrounded by her family in Dixon,IL. She was a longtime baker and cook prior to her retirement. Janet was born March 17, 1938, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of Norman and Bernice (Segard) Smith.  She married Joseph Hassler on Oct. 21, 1956, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon. he preceded her in death on July 11, 2007. Janet was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon. Janet is survived by her daughter, Tara (Eric) Thompson of Durand: two sons, Kyle (Lauri) Hassler, Mark (Jamie) Hassler both of Dixon: seven grandchildren: 2 great-grandchildren, two brothers Monte (Donna) Smith of St. Paul, MN, Raymond Smith of Dixon, and one sister, Kathy (Tim) Coakley of Loveland, CO. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and shillings, John and Kristi Smith.
