Denise Mann Walczak-Jacobs

Married to my grammar school sweetheart,Ken Walczak until he passed in 2006. We were married 40 years. Presently married again to Tom Jacobs. We both lost our spouses. Now we are happily married again since 2010. What a blessing to have a second chance to married to such a wonderful person.
Tom is retired from trucking business. I presently am working with my oldest son,Bob in our family owned business. Enjoyed doing ministry work. Worked with families in Hegewisch running a food pantry for 13 years while living in that community. Presently both Tom and I enjoy serving in our church. We spend most of the summer in New Buffalo, Michigan building memories with our extended family of 11 grandkids.

I remember Mr. Nardi gave us an assignment to make a drawing of a small community. Mandy Ryan and I decided to make it on shelving paper and it wrapped around the classroom. Does anyone remember when it was so hot that the whole school had to go outside for classes? What a great school and wonderful times and memories made at Thornridge.
