Grace L. Montgomery, 64, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at 3:29 a.m. at her home.

She was born Aug. 3, 1946, to James W. and Margaret Mulder Ashmore, in Chicago Heights, IL. She married Willard E. "Monty" Montgomery Jr. on May 8, 1965, in Dolton. He survives, as does her mother, Margaet Ashmore, of Calumet City, IL.

Mrs. Montgomery was a 1964 graduate of the Thornridge High School in Dolton, IL. She was a homemaker and an Avon representative. She volunteered with the Huntington Salvation Army Latch Key Program and the Senior Center in Huntington. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church also in Huntington.

Other survivors include a daughter, Amanda (James) Heister, of Huntington; two sons, Robert (Johanna) Montgomery, of Vernon, British Columbia, and Jonathan (April) Montgomery, of Zanesville; a brother, James (Judy) Ashmore, of South Holland, IL; and eight grandchildren.
