Dave passed away in May 2009. He  was one of the first kids I met when we moved to South Holland in 1955. We went to grade school,Thornridge, JC and worked together for a short time at the Harris Bank in Chicago.I miss the big smile he had everytime we saw each other.

I played on the same Babe Ruth League team as Dave and then on the Thornridge football team. Dave was the most upbeat person I can remember knowing, sort of modeled on Jack Brickhouse the sports announcer. He was a guy who neve quit trying. At the time he seemed a little naive, but now I have to admit that his positive attitude made an impact.

Dave, myself, and someone else (forgot) drove our bikes over to Betty Jean Blink's house one day.    Her mother brought us cookies and milk.  All three of us were interested in her at the time but think she was already spoken for by Ron Molder.  That's what I remember about Dave.
