We're the last women standing, Elisa!

I still read the board but lately I've been busy working on my singing for American Idol.

One of the best things about this message board has been to realize there are still die-hard White Sox fans out there. I live off 55th Street, which I constantly have to remind mindless Cubs fans around me is SOUTH of 35th Street.
Watching to Sox/Cubs tonight reminds me how good it has been to touch base with solid roots.

OK. So I can't delete a repetitive message but can edit it so it doesn't repeat, but I still appear obsessive.

Didn't mean to be so emphatic. Bob D., help!

Hey - when did the post start getting numbered?

No worries about all the posts Brett - at least there was something to read on here this morning.

AHA! So Marty finally admits it - that guy is no doppleganger - he's the real Marty!!! :)

Cherie Santelli (Kwiatkowski)

I don't think that the posts were numbered yesterday (or am I just not very observant).

03/05/09 05:07 PM #2023

Elisa Cullina (O'Neill)

No - I'm pretty sure they weren't numbered yesterday.

Not only are the post numbered, we have page numbers on the bottom. Which could be handy if referencing a previous post. Pretty cool.

Elisa,

I have carried soooo many trays its unimaginable. I have had back problems since 86 when I blew out my back playing VBall. Over the years, various problems. But now I am developing a hump over my left shoulder from carrying trays. Its muscle related and inflammes sometimes with work. Yes, I should go to the doc/chiropractor but I have been down that road so many times, it gets old. I just pop a lot of ibuprofin or Aleves to get it down. I just don't want to end up with a permanent hump like my Grandma had. Still I really like serving, its fast paced, interesting and the people I work with a ton of fun. Have some really great friends thru Red Lob. In a way, the friends are better than in office setting, cause there really is no competition for raises/promotion. If you want to promote yourself, you just take the courses to be a CT TRainer, ServPro etc. Takes a lot of backstabbing out of the workplace, so your friends are really friends. My years in corporate work, showed me otherwise with coworkers many many times. And servers are CRAZY!!! You should hears some of the things we joke about, gross, sexual whatever!

For instance. Hope I don't offend anyone. Shirley was talking one day in the alley, how she wanted a bigger butt. Cause guys like big butts. And Ross (probably the only guy on that particular lunch) walks thru, hears Shirley and just gets this look on his face like Ugh, what are they girls talking about. (He gets embarrassed really easy) So, I go up to him and say, "Ross, you know what I want???... A big, giant VAGINA! So big you could park a car in it. You go down there and it would be like Hello Hello Hello." I had him laughing so hare and turning ten shades of red. Personally, I think its so funny, but yea a bit gross. But thats what make our job so fun!

New nickname for Mary

Mary the "Echo Cavity" Cosman Connell--- watch her pop a tray of tasty garlic bread out of her vagina while taking your order at the same time or if you wish simple speak into the vagina for a resounding experince. See her at your local Northern Wisconsin Red Lobster 3 weeks out of the month.

Where is everyone? No posts yesterday. Must have all been busy. I know I was--running from one volunteer event to the next from 7:30AM until after midnight. Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather we had on Friday. The weekend's been kind of rainy, but at least it's not snow!

Marijayne Rogers (Kruus)

Hey Cherie,

I'm still here! I've been so occupied helping my mom during the week that I just lurk from Tues to Thursday!

EVERYONE,

I am going to try to come to Chicago mid-June and I'm thinking we should have a mini reunion!! My brother (who is in Naperville) has a summer party every year and he said I can invite anyone I want!!! Yeah, that means you guys!!!

It (the party) will be on Sat. June 13 and I'd be happy to see any or all of you there. More details will follow as we near the grand event!

I'm thinking we could also have something in Northern Indiana on Friday (because we all know Allen Kostecki won't travel more than 10 miles from his house) and have some kind of Jeapordy style contest (Posters vs. Lurkers) based on the content on this website.

Maybe we can even get Mark Campbell to come? - he might make it if he starts driving now.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I think it would be a blast!!!

Mary and Phil M.

LMAO about the cheesy biscuts! From now on, I'll always question whether they have been in some human orifice before being served!

Sorry to all of you who don't like this kind of humor,
MJ!

What would be your proposal for a spending bill for the government? Or what could be done to "improve" the current bill? Would you cut school funding to add more to the defense budget? Maybe you would cut the 1.7 million earmarked for New Mexico University to continue the food safety lab that the FDA's uses there. Or would you cut the 2 million that's being used for abstinence education in the state of Pennslyvania? I'm interested in what you think about the budget appropriations and how it can be improved.

G$,
Here is an idea and feel free to correct me. Which you
will of course regardless...lol

Give the money to the people, meaning you and I.
The banks have been given money and have yet to loosen
their guidelines. The auto industry does not deserve a
dime, they did not learn from the 70's. Instead
of the bailouts give to the households that ARE WORKING
per family member. The reason I say WORKING is because
we are already paying for those who do not have a job.
Enough is enough.
