Maceo L. Patterson, 68 of Manassas, Virginia died July 28th, 2026 at his home

He was a retired Project Manager for Verizon and was a member of World Overcomer Church
Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his father Maceo Edward Patterson and his mother Uneta Choate Patterson

He is survived by his wife Liz Patterson, his stepson Vernon Kirby, his sisters Brenda Adams, Lynnetta Martin and Dana Bulls, many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandsons and great-grandson.

To my dear friends. It is with deep sadness that I must tell you that my beloved husband, Maceo, passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, after a short devastating illness.

Maceo was truly the love of my life. We were married for 38 years together for 40. Although he didn't attend many terrier trials, he loved all our terriers: Arthur, Tillie, Joya, Swagger, Easy and our calico cat Jazzie.

Maceo was a hardworking man. He was a project manager at a large telecommunications company where he was well liked and respected by his coworkers and bosses alike. He got many awards and letters of appreciation from customers.

Maceo had a big heart and a personality to match. His laugh was infectious. I could find him in a room of a thousand people by that wonderful laugh. Maceo was always the bright light in any room. He was never too busy to lend an ear. He loved his family, lifelong friends and all the friends that we made over the years at DAKS (which was “our” place) and at Carabbas.

My life going forward will be different but not empty. My son, my grandsons and my great grandson will keep me busy and surrounded with love. I know my family and friends will lift me up in prayer too.

The viewing will be Saturday, August 8th at Miller Funeral Home in Woodbridge. Please do not offer to send flowers. If out of the kindness of your heart, you would like to plant a tree or send a donation in Maceo’s memory to your local animal rescue or shelter the family would like that.
