Paul R. Hauber, 58, of Atkins, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died September 20, 2006 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a sudden illness.  Paul was born on March 16, 1948, in Dubuque, son of Paul and Geraldine (Krayer) Hauber.  He married Linda Lou Tollefson on March 3, 1973.

Paul served with the Army in Germany.  He worked for Linkbelt and then later for Goss in Cedar Rapids.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 788, and an avid Cubs, Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; his children, Michael Hauber, of Cedar Rapids, James (Tascha) Hauber, of Ames, and Mary (Frank) Kelly, of Marble Rock; two grandchildren; a brother, Gerald (Bette Ann) Hauber, of Blue Grass; and a sister, Sister Mary Hauber, of Dubuque. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William.
