John Myers

My memories of "Ike" go way back to when we were young kids.  Being his friend meant the world to me.  He was always the strongest and the tallest, and he would protect his friends from any bully attacks that might have arisen.  We also went to Wahlert together, and we worked for the same company, at John Deere, and whenever I'd walked by his workplace he'd take time to talk, if he could.  We played softball together for Inventory Control, we had a winning team, and when he hit a softball I always said it should have little red and green lights on it, because it always soared higher and farther than all the rest.  Though I haven't seen him in recent years, I'm going to miss him dearly.  God's blessings to his wife, Ann, and may God always bless his children.  Their husband and father was a true gentlemen, a great friend, and an all around super guy.  Rest in peace, my friend, you were loved by many...
