Barbara Anne (Gillooley) Leick, 60, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clincs in Iowa City, following a long, courageous battle with liver disease.

She was born on November 18, 1948, in Dubuque, daughter of Charles and Helen (Tritz) Gillooley.  Barbara graduated from Wahlert High School in 1966.  She received her bachelor's degree from Clarke College and was a social worker for many years.  She loved to dance and enjoyed traveling, walking, reading, cooking, shopping and being with friends.

Surviving are four children, Brent (Mary) Leick, of Dubuque, Dawn (Mark) Leick Kemp, of Longmont, CO; Tammy Brimeyer, of Maquoketa, IA and Nicole Leick, of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Cody, Tanna and Rylan Brimeyer and Travis and Elizabeth Leick; and an aunt, Marian Tritz, of Davenport, IA.  She was preceded in death by her parents
