Gerald J. Neuses, 69, of Dubuque, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 25, 2016.  Jerry was born on August 27, 1947 in Dubuque to Clement and Rita (Kunkel) Neuses.  He graduated from Wahlert High School.  On Octtober 21, 1967, he married Diane Brosius at Holy Ghost Church.  Together they celebrated 48 years of marriage.

He was employed at Mystique Casino for 21 years and he also worked at the Dubuque Packing Company and FDL Foods.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #510.  Jerry enjoyed playing cards and carving beef for Sunday Brunch at Timmerman's Supper Club.  However, his biggest joy in life came from his family.  He was a skilled woodworker and made furniture for the whole family, giving each grandchild a special piece.

He rarely missed a ballgame for one of his grandchildren.  He also liked watching UFC at Buffalo Wild Wings with his son Jeff and grandchildren Nicole, Matthew, and Nick.  Tuesdays were a special day for Jerry; those were the days he spent visiting his granddaughter Jessica at the cemetery.  His family will always hold that memory dear to their hearts.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Diane; children Jeff (Kathy) Neuses, Gary (Nancy Shady) Neuses and Lisa (Fred) Rhomberg; grandchildren Nicole and Ashton Neuses and Matthew, Nick, Rachel and Jacob Rhomberg.  His siblings include Mary Jane (Roman "Butch") Lampe, Richard (Kathy) Neuses and Terry (Jodi) Neuses; brothers and sisters-in-law Donna (Rod) Christ, Denny (Deb) Brosius, Kate (Dave) Stout, Bob (Kathy) Brosius, Mary (Mike) Rossman and Dave (Lisa Jones) Brosius.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Rita Neuses; granddaughter Jessica Neuses; and mother and father-in-law Francis and Marion Brosius.
