Thomas A. O'Neill, 45, of Dubuque, died on March 10, 1993, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.  He was born on August 25, 1947 in Dubuque, son of Earl "Dede" and Luella (Banfield) O'Neill. 

Tom was a 1966 graduate of Wahlert High School and a member of the East Dubuque Conservation Club and Ducks Unlimited.  He worked at the former Dubuque Packing Co., and later was an independent contractor.  He last worked as a part-time driver for the Telegraph-Herald newspaper.

Surviving are his former wife, Marie O'Neill, of East Dubuque; a daughter, Lisa I. O'Neill and two sons, Timothy J. and Brian A., all at home; his mother, of East Dubuque; five sisters, Mrs. David (Margaret) Burds, of North Potomac, MD, Eileen A. and Lois O'Neill, both of East Dubuque; Mrs. Michael (Helen) Friedler, of Chicago, and Mrs. Gary (Mary Ann) Kupferschmidt, of Dubuque; and two brothers, James L. and Michael P. (and Cathy), both of East Dubuque.  He was preceded in death by his father.
