
Dr. James C. Plamondon, 50, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Dubuque, died January 24, 1999 at St. Luke's Hospital in New York. Jim was born in Dubuque, the son of John and Generose (Moroney) Plamondon.
He graduated from Wahlert High School in 1966 and from Loras College in 1970. He completed medical school at The University of Iowa in 1974, interned at Blodgett Memorial Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI, and completed his residency in dermatology at The University of Iowa Hospitals.
Jim opened a dermatology practice in 1978 in Council Bluffs, where he remained until the onset of his illness in April 1998. He was a Board Certified Dermatologist and a member of the Iowa Medical Association. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Omaha Region of the Sports Car Club of America.
Surviving are two sons, James Edward Plamondon and John Parsons Plamondon, both of Chicago and formerly of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Dr. Joseph Plamondon, of Somers, NY an Dr. Col. Thomas Plamondon of Okinawa, Japan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
