Douglas Sitzmann

Douglas P. Sitzmann, 28, of Dubuque, died on August 28, 1976 at University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison.  He was born in Dubuque and had been employed as a salesman at Montgomery Ward.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Jo Winter, a son, Shannon, and a daughter, Dawn, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Dale (Virginia) Hillary, and two brothers, Peter and Jonathon Sitzmann, all of Galena, IL and seven sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Suzanne) Riedl of Dubuque, Mrs. Vern (Cindy) Behlke and Mrs. Ronald (Jennifer) Snyder, all of Galena, and Georgia Ann, Vickie, Sally and Audrey Sitzmann, all of Galena.

Memorials may be given to the Myasthenia Gravis Association.

Doug was my best friend for many years.  I remember him often and the good/fun times we had.  He was a great guy and died WAY to soon  Rest in peace my friend

Doug, Ted, and I all went to school with one another, and I agree with Ted.  Doug was a good guy and he certainly died way too young.  I had the pleasure of working with Doug's sister at John Deere, and like Doug, she was a very nice person.  Rest in Peace my friend...
