Thomas Jeffrey (Jeff) Ternes, 59, of Porter, OK, formerly of Dubuque, died peacefully, Tuesday, January 29, 2008, after a brief illness.  He was born on August 7, 1948, in Dubuque, son of John and Tereso Ternes.

He graduated from Wahlert High School and went on to play football at Marshall University, Huntington, WV.  He worked for WalMart Corporation for many years and in 1992, he and his wife moved to Porter, to live and ranch Verdigris Valley Farm.  He enjoyed raising cattle and havesting pecans.  He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his loving wife Kimberly Ternes; his children, Tracy, Marc, Andrea, Nathan, Carissa, Nicole and Rachel; his mother Tereso Ternes; brothers J. and Joel Ternes; and sisters, Jennifer Murry and Julie Oakhill.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Ternes; a brother, Justin Ternes; and a sister, Jane Kelly.
