I graduated from Scott Community College in 1971 with an Associate Degree in Computer Science.
I married Julie (Loney) Wahlert class of 1972 on December 15, 1973.
We have been married 48 years & we still consider each other "boyfriend & girfriend".
Julie says we are "Team Tigges".
I worked 40 years in the computer programming, systems analyst, and payroll manger areas of business.
I was data processing manger at The Eska Company, computer programmer at Honkamp-Krueger, and computer programer/payroll manager with Bob & Ruth Kehl's businesses in Dubuque & Clinton.
The most important event in my life happen in March 1983 when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Personal Saviour. Julie accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Saviour 3 years later.
The Lord has allowed me to teach children's Sunday School for the past 34 years.
I had spent the first 35 years of my life knowing "of" Jesus, but not really knowing" Jesus.
I am thankful now when I stand before Almighty God some day (which we will all do), that my trust is in what the Bible, the Word of God says about how to get to heaven VS a man run church which has kept changing to please man & teaches that good works can get a person to heaven. (Which the Bible clearly teaches AGAINST).
If good works could get us to heaven, then why did Jesus die on the cross for our sins?
Our Saviour is US. I am thankful my Saviour is the Son of God, Jesus.
I am very thankful for the education and the discipline I was taught at Wahlert.
I am semi-retired now. I can not just do nothing. I have a part time office job with a company in Dubuque to keep me busy.
I use to like pro sports. But now the players are pushing their "agenda's" on us fans when we tune in to watch the GAME not hear/see their opinions. I do not watch any NFL, NBA, or MLB. Enough is Enough.
I love playing golf in the summer. I go to the gym 5 days a week to workout.
I read where many of our classmates have passed away. It is hard to grasp that. I still see them as they were back in 1966, but time goes on.
