Linda K. Volwald, 26, formerly of Dubuque, drowned early in the morning July 13, 1974, at Prairie du Chien, WI.  She was born in Lancaster, WI.

Linda was a school teacher, having done her substitute teaching in Dubuque.  She taught in Prairie du Chien Schools the past year, and she also assisted her brother, Richard, in the operation of the "Pirate Cove" night club in Prairie du Chien.

Surviving are her parents, Harry "Bud" and Norma (Brun) Vorwald of Dubuque, four brothers, Dennis of Madison, WI, Richard of Prairie du Chien, and Paul and David, both at home.
