George, glad to see you are alive. Jon is such a "big boy" now, I am so proud. Good luck with the run Jon. I also sent an email to everyone from James Skeith, we only need to get John Daly now. James also posted some photos.

Funnel???

The only thing Jon does with a funnel is drink beers out of them.

How about Skeith and Vinnie are cops?

I took Dina's family photo from facebook and posted it.

I spoke with John Daly's wife (Tricia Brady) on facebook a while ago, so when we decide on when and where to have a get together I will let her know. That seems to be everyone. I hope you are all well.

Anything new? Jon, George, Chris, Mrs.Slack, Vinnie, Giancarlo, Chante, Colette, James? Anyone?

Colette how's the class of 84's site doing?

I made it!! True, I only walked the Disney Half-Marathon, but it was at a fast pace and my knee just won't let me run on it that long. Around mile 4 I took notice that no other "walker" was passing me and I was even passing more than a few slow joggers. I finished in 3:08:26. I am more than happy with that. Took about 17 minutes off my trial run.

Good job Jon, glad to hear you made it and the knee held up.

Karen Reilly (Etelman)

Congratulations, Jon. That is such a great accomplishment.

Happy Belated Birthday, Tim & George!

Happy 2009, everyone. I'm sorry that my best wishes are so late, obviously, I have to sign on more often. Is turning 40 bothering anyone or is it just a # and another year?

01/13/09 10:37 AM #554

George Ojeda

Note to self: get Jon knee-pads.

Thanks for the belated birthday wishes. For me, 40 is just another birthday, just another number.

Thinking about it right now, 40 is just a number, and some days I feel much younger and there are days when I feel alot older.

Although that thought is subject to change once the day draws nearer.

Jon that is great. I found out Sunday that Joe Reissner was there and from what I understand he did the half and full marathon and he completed the marathon from what I am told.
Nothing new on ths end, training a new Officer that just graduated the Academy, former marine and about 6'5". So we look like Devito and Arnold.

Not too concerne3d about 40, I believe that I had a bigger issue with 30. The only issue with the age is that the rotating shifts are getting to me a bit more and take alot out of me.

For those of us in NJ, stay warm.

Jon needs knee pads?? To much time working in the Rectory at St.Mary's Jon?

Anyway, 40 for me is in September. I have to admit that I am thinking of it more than 30. While I feel young and often look at younger people (in the teens) and think they must find out that I am 39 and say to themselves that guy is old, just what I did. I feel like I am a teenager and can't believe that I have kids that are going to turn 7, or for that matter, even have kids. I feel great and love my life and 40 is just a number. With all that being said, I wish I was 12 and sitting in Mrs. Slack's class thinking about playing kill the man in the playground or why is Giancarlo such a putz! (only joking Carlo had to throw that in because you are the youngest at 38 still).

Jon, I spoke with Joe Reissner last night and he did the half marathon and completed the full, which I believe was on Sunday. I wish I knew he was going to be in town, maybe you two could have done the half together.

Jon and Joey sharing knee pads? What do you think of that George.

01/20/09 04:09 PM #560

George Ojeda

Well....in this rough economy, I suppose sharing knee-pads cuts down on costs.

BTW - was in the Tampa area this past weekend. My friend and I decided to do a bit of bald eagle spotting. We found an eagle close to her place on Treasure Island, in St. Pete. Ill have to post pictures. Spectacular creatures they are.

George is now birdwatching with a female I detected. Just a friend?

Mrs. Slack and Colette how is the class of 1984 doing? Anything on that site?

01/21/09 08:40 PM #563

Debra Slack

No one is responding to the web site for the class. Colette did a great job setting it up but it hasn't taken off.

That's to bad, maybe they need Jon and George to spice it up. I see some of them are on facebook. John Lisch, Theresa O'Donovan, Loughlin, Amy Browning, Alice McCormack, Mary McMahon, Tracy Attus and Colette.

Jon and George do add something to the mix that is for sure! Colette has set up a dinner for the ladies this weekend that I am going to with Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Kondratick and a group of the girls from that class. I am looking to seeing them as well. A lot of the people you mentioned on facebook have set up their profiles but don't respond on the message board.

Oooohhhhh I see. Only for the ladies, hmmm. Well, I hope you all have a good time.

To let everyone know Mrs. McCormack passed away I believe on Friday night or early Saturday morning. She was battling cancer for a long time. She was a good friend to me and my family, the McCormack's grew up on Depew Street just a couple of houses away from us. We spent many warm summer days swimming in their pool and Ann was and still is a friend of mine. Until 3rd or 4th grade we hung around together, but as we get around that age girls are less "buddies" and it becomes sports and hanging out with the boys. I will always remember Mrs.McCormack with that big red hair and her Irish accent. I have the info below for anyone interested:

May God Bless Mrs. McCormack.
