Our dear classmate, Marie Cono (Kennedy), passed away Dec. 29, 2017. She had been in the care of hospice for some time. Our condolences and prayers go out to her family. She will be missed by all.
Gerald Kennedy, Marie's husband, Marie's husband, wanted to submit the following note regarding Marie. I told him I would post it for him:
"As most of you know, Marie (Ree) Cono Kennedy passed on Dec. 29, 2017 while in her sleep. As her so blessed husband of over 49 years and to have had her in my life I wanted each of you to know just how much she treasured and so often remembered all of the great times she enjoyed at Dunedin HS and was especially proud of being in the first class of 1962. As so many of you have mentioned just how sweet, caring and thoughtful she was as a young girl, please know that she remained that same wonderful person her entire life, always thinking of others. Perhaps this is a Falcon trait! Also, please be aware that within the near future there will be a Dunedin HS scholarship in her name. It is her way of caring and providing in some small way for others even after she has gone. She loved and cared for each of you and looked so forward to each reunion....Thank all of you so much for remembering her, it would make her so happy. "
