We are sad to announce the passing of Judi Guy Strickland. Judi passed in hospice on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 in Ft. Walton Beach. She had lived in that area for a number of years. Following is a tribute from Stacie M Guy, Judi's sister.
"My lovely, talented, wonderful, and funny, sister Judi Guy Strickland passed this evening (Wednesday, Feb. 24). Many of this group knew her from North Ward Elementary, Dunedin High School, Sweat’s Flower Shop, Clearwater Largo Florist and Michaels Arts & Crafts.
Despite our 16 year age difference, we were loving sisters and friends. She attended my class plays, made my homecoming corsages and was my maid of honor when I finally married. We shared many inside jokes never tiring of the punch lines. I often felt Judi was the one person who truly understood me. Fortunately our last words to each other were “I love you.” I love you Judi — always have and always will." -Stacie M. Guy

I am sad to hear of Judi's passing. I was one of the North Ward group and still have pictures of our classes. I loved Judi's flair!. She enjoyed whatever she did, whether it was teaching English classes in Spain, taking her many, many cruises, or creating beautiful florals or jewelry. When Judi visited us in Virginia, we had so much fun with a lot of laughter. I will miss an occasional email saying "Hi daaling Barbara" and her giant hugs at our reunions. With love, Barbara Ham Hulick
