Wendy Weeks Hoffman announces the passing of Christine Weeks Woodall Martin, 82, on December 31, 2024, while receiving hospice care in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Her passing was a result of a brain bleed and a stroke that occurred on Christmas Day. Chris' birthday would have been the following day, January 1, 2025.
Chris was a well-liked classmate, renowned for her amiable nature and willingness to assist others. She actively participated in various organizations, including the FHA, the Mixed Chorus, and the school newspaper staff. Notably, she was a dedicated, longtime member of the Class of 1962 reunion committee, lending her talents in a number of successful reunions.
During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers extend to Chris’ sisters, Wendy and Debbie, Chris' children, and all other members of her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I was sad to hear of Chris' passing. I worked with Chris on the Piper newspaper staff. Chris and most of the Piper staff were very proud of producing a weekly newspaper, which was rare for high schools at the time. Chris was such a nice person and she was so much fun. I always thought she was "cool" to use 60's terminology!
