Lorie Kay (Green) Sellers, of Cortez, and longtime area resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, in Durango, CO, after a long battle with cancer. She was 40 years old.
Mrs. Sellers was born July 21, 1960, in Boulder, CO. She and J.R. Sellers were married Feb. 14, 1980, in Bayfield, CO.
Mrs. Sellers was a mother and wife who was devoted to the care of her family. She was a veterinary technician for several years, and worked primarily with Dr. Brown in Bayfield. She enjoyed doing seamstress work.
She is survived by her husband, J.R., and daughters, Katelyn and Julia, of Cortez; parents, Harvey and Mary Green of Durango; sister, Mary Ann Graf and husband, Doy, of Mancos; brother, John Green and wife, Pam, of Aztec; father-in-law, Harry Sellers and wife, Christine, of Aztec; mother-in-law, Marline Yeager and husband, Harley, of Cortez; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Green.
