Joseph C. Settle

DURHAM -- Dr. Joseph C. Settle, 71, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Duke Medical Center.

Joe served in the United States Army. Following his time in the service, Dr. Settle pursued a career in education, and became an Educational Administrator.

Dr. Settle is survived by his spouse, Judith M. Settle; a daughter, Joy F. Settle; a son, Izell Randolph; a sister, Dolette Settle Bishop; and a brother, Ralph Settle.

The tribute to his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2005, at Life Community Church. Family visitation is from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Dr. Settle will lie in state at Burthey Funeral Service on Thursday, March 17, 2005, from 12 p.m. and on Friday, March 18, 2005, from l0 a.m. to 12 p.m. Arrangements by - Burthey Funeral Service.
