Our dear friend and classmate, Deborah Deming, sadly passed away on December 3, 2010 in West Los Angeles, California after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Here is a link to the obituary which appeared in the Springfield Republican:

Deborah Lynn Deming 1956-2010 WEST LOS ANGELES, CA - Deborah Lynn Deming passed away peacefully at her home in West Los Angeles on Dec. 3, 2010. She was born May 4, 1956. She leaves behind her husband, Jim Redeen, her parents, Patricia Currier Deming of Danvers, Mass. and Gordon W. Deming of Duxbury, Mass., her sister Linda S. Deming, and nephew Willem Hilliard, and her brother Frederick W. Deming of Woonsocket, R.I. She also leaves her aunt Nancy Hedges, with whom she made her home for a number of years, and aunt Nathalie Fogg, both of CT, and her cousins, H. Lee Hedges, Craig Hedges, Russell Fogg, Pamela Fogg and Cheryl Sheridan. Deborah graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 1974, Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., in 1976 with an Associate Degree in Interior Design, and in 1981 with a Bachelor in Interior Architecture from University of Mass. In the early 80's she moved to West Los Angeles where she worked for Gensler architectural firm as a senior designer, and for IA and HOK as project managers. In 1994 she was the environmental design winner of the Solution "DOC" Award. In 2001, she started her own interior/landscape design company Deming Design LLC incorporating environmentally sustainable practices. She was also active in community efforts to fight cell towers and air pollution from the private jet airport. She will be missed for the loving, gentle, caring and generous person she was. There will be a memorial service at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, 2 Ferry Road, Old Lyme, CT March 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
