I am very sad to let you know that the Class of 1974 has lost our dear friend and classmate, Michael Manarite, who passed away on May 9, 2025 in Fort Myers, FL at the all too young age of 68. I know we all have many memories of Mike and his contagious smile from our years together at EL schools.

Michael lived a life of adventure and followed his dreams to many spectacular locations. He first owned a successful hair salon, Masters of Springfield, before moving to Florida and finding his passion in the restaurant and hospitality business. Over the years, his new career took him to San Francisco, Maui and eventually back to Fort Myers, where he lived with his wife, Simone and son, Luca.

There will be a memorial service for Mike on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 William St, Springfield, MA. (organized by his nephew, Anthony). All are welcome.
